How-to Guide

Buy Eligible Eyewear
Select your favorite frames and customize them with prescription lenses. Most plans cover glasses, sunglasses, and progressive lenses.

Download the Invoice
Go to "My Orders" in your account. Download the itemized invoice (receipt) that contains our provider details and your prescription info.

Submit Your Claim
Log in to your FSA/HSA provider’s portal and upload your Vooglam invoice. Most plans reimburse you within 2–3 weeks.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) let you set aside pre-tax income to pay for qualified medical expenses, including prescription eyewear.
FSA: employer-sponsored, "use it or lose it" account. Most balances expire December 31, unless your plan offers a short grace period or limited rollover. (see what happens to unused FSA funds)
HSA: individually owned, rolls over year to year. Funds remain yours indefinitely, even if you change jobs.
If you’re unsure which account you have, check with your HR department or insurance provider.
Yes, you can! Request an itemized receipt from us and then submit a manual reimbursement claim through your provider.
You can use FSA/HSA funds for:
- Prescription eyeglasses (single vision, progressives, bifocals)
- Prescription sunglasses (polarized, tinted, photochromic)
- Blue-light filtering prescription lenses
- Light-responsive lenses
- Reading glasses with prescription lenses
Frames are eligible if fitted with prescription lenses.
Not eligible: non-prescription sunglasses, frames without lenses, accessories, or cosmetic tints unless medically prescribed.
We recommend claiming your FSA/HSA Budget using the Itemized Receipt that we give to you and manually submitting it to your insurance provider to avail the benefit.
1) Check your available balance with your benefits administrator.
2) Shop eligible products on vooglam.com. (Prescription Only)
3) Keep the Itemized Slip safely, which is given to you once the item is shipped.
4) Ensure your prescription and pupillary distance (PD) are current.
5) Make sure you have the latest Doctor's Eye Exam Prescription to submit to your insurance provider.
6) Keep your receipt and prescription copy for your records.
You'll need a valid prescription that's no older than 6 months. This is compulsory, as you will need to submit it to your insurance provider along with the itemized receipt for any claim.

1) Schedule an eye exam (covered by many FSA/HSA plans).
2) Renew online if available in your area.
After your order ships: Visit My Orders → View Details to download your itemized receipt, or

Yes! We strongly recommend keeping:
Your itemized receipt
A copy of your prescription (which is the latest and no older than 6 months)
Any Letter of Medical Necessity (if applicable for specialized lenses)
Insurance providers can request documentation during audits or claim reviews.
Vooglam offers a 30-day return or exchange policy.
However:
FSA refunds may not be accepted after plan expiration.
Always confirm with your plan administrator before requesting a refund. Make sure your prescriptions are updated before you submit it to your insurance provider with the correct item receipt.
