Vision Tools/Hypothesis: First Look at the TOMBOGO x Vooglam Collection

Having debuted earlier this year at NYFW Vision Tools/ Hypothesis now a fully realized, and released system. It is a limited edition designer collaboration that takes from Tombogo's Vision Tools philosophy—a modular ecosystem that draws influence from ancient organic textures and technology—to reinterpret everyday equipment as eyewear. The first collection, Hypothesis, is a series of 5 frames that reinterpret tools as eyewear built for those who code, make, build, decode, and design. This drop pairs Tombogo's unparalleled creativity with VOoglam's design for craft and production capabilities, producing functional design for the present.

"Hypothesis" Explained

TOMBOGO's design work is rooted in his industrial design background and his uncompromising pursuit of pushing past aesthetics to incorporate real utility in the clothes he designs. Hypothesis is an extension of this philosophy under a new formalized framed known as Vision Tools and proposes 5 independent but interrelated experiments to fully explore the possibility of bringing a new function to eyewear. First prototyped and displayed at NYFW, the collection has just landed with sharper details, more precise engineering, and a clear perspective: a new kind of viewing platform.

It's parent concept Vision Tools is an independent equipment ecosystem designed to address users' optical needs. Drawing on twin disparate influences of technological advances and ancient organic textures, the result is that each piece provides a novel way of engaging with the wearer's environment, whether natural or constructed.

Essnetially this collection is Tombogo's step into the world of eyewear while being a step for Vooglam into building deeper more meaingful collections and partenrships with the world of art and design.

The Collection Breakdown: Eyewear as Equipment

The Geologist (Launching early 2026)

A bold goggle-style frame that looks like it’s been carved from a solid block of granite. Injection molded and sandblasted – lighter and more durable than traditional acetate, the frame represents ancient earth with modern sight.

The Decoder

Using a unique electroplating technology, the metal frame is a highly sophisticated and architecturally designed style. Double-helix temples, titanium pad arms, and a hydraulic hinge are used to create this blueprint for wearable architecture.

The Programmer

A full acetate frame with plated hardware, bevels, and hinges incorporates a built-in USB made for DJs and other performers. Beveled edges were added for comfort, and finished with precision laser engraving, the Programmer is a genuine, first-of-its-kind, and one-of-a-kind product.

The Architect

Inspired by climbing equipment, functional carabiners are built into each temple arm, providing unique detail and a variety of functions. Titanium pad arms and an acetate rim set complete the industrial look.

The Utilitarian

Precision tools disguised as eyewear. Removable compass, spirit level, ruler markings etched into the temples. Adventure-ready, city-wearable. Modular functionality for urban exploration—tactical meets refined for those who navigate both cities and concepts.
